This press release is information for journalists only and is not intended to be an advert to be acted upon by consumers.

Sainsbury’s Travel Money is offering a special rate(1) on US Dollars and Euros bought – in currency – instore at Sainsbury’s until 24th April 2014. The sale is perfect timing for those planning an Easter holiday trip abroad. In addition, Nectar cardholders could also benefit from exclusive rates(2) by presenting their card at time of purchase. The supermarket bank has 138 travel money bureaux in stores across the UK.

Commenting on the upcoming Easter school holidays, James Carter, Head of Sainsbury’s Travel Money says: “Easter is the perfect time for a break to the USA. In many states, the weather is ideal to take the kids to visit the Florida theme parks, explore cities such as New York and San Francisco or take in some of the world’s most spectacular scenery.

“People heading to America this Easter could see their money go much further than it may have done in recent years; for example, the Pound is 9% stronger against the Dollar compared to this time last year(3).”

Currency can also be delivered directly to their home (charges may apply when selecting home delivery(4)).
